I work with dogs of all ages and breeds. I use Positive Reinforcement to establish a healthy dog/owner relationship.

Many dogs are left at shelters and/or are euthanized due to the fact that they have not been well socialized or are not trained. My philosophy is that a trained dog is a preferred dog, and a well-mannered dog will less likely be given up for adoption or be euthanized! Training is essential for every dog, big or small! The lessons I offer teach the basic commands and concentrate on problems you might be experiencing with your beloved pet. My goal is to ensure high quality instruction on an individual basis, which leaves both the dog and owner happy.

I am not a fad trainer. I do not train with Haltis or clicker train. I have learned how to use them and just find they are not effective in the majority of the dogs I have worked with. I believe that the dogs that can learn by using a halti can also learn through basic structure, and the dogs that can't learn by using a halti or clicker can still learn from structure. I just choose to keep it as simple as possible for the dog to learn. If you add to many gadgets it can confuse a dog. These types of devises should be used only in advanced training. I use many general tools that have been around for years to aid in training but I use positive reinforcement along with structural guiding as my main training technique. Every dog and every owner learns in a different way so I customize my training session to each individual family and dog.
